Brad Detling Memorial Ridge Runner Classic

910 Shamrock Drive,
Barnesville, OH
The 3rd Annual Brad Detling Memorial Ridge Runner Classic (BDMRRC) 5K Walk/Run will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2013. The 2012 BDMRRC was another big success.  This year, we have listened to some of our participants comments.  As a result, we have moved the race to late August.  We'll also be keeping the same race course as last year.

Brad Detling was a 1999 Barnesville High School graduate and 2005 Ohio State University alumna who lost a brave battle with cancer in November of 2008. Once again this year, the proceeds collected from the race will go towards a scholarship, in Brad’s memory, awarded to one or more deserving and qualified Barnesville High School senior(s) planning to continue their education at the collegiate level. Also, a portion of the proceeds from this year’s race will be donated to cancer research.

The race will begin at Barnesville High School.  The route includes Shamrock Drive and Grange Road.  The race will end at Barnesville Middle School.  There will be two classifications of walkers. Those who choose "Competitive" will complete the 5K race course and will be eligible to win awards. Those who prefer not to complete the 5K walk may walk on the high school track.

what people are saying
Theracedeal.com online registration is fantastic! The Relay for Life Spring 5K had 335 participants, generating total monies over $6,000 to the American Cancer Society!
This was our first time to experience online registration. It was a great success and as a race director, I would highly suggest this great online registration system! See you next year, Nick! Great job!

Nick, thanks so much for all your online help. I was pleasantly surprised by how many people registered online! I know you didn't get rich doing that for me, but, I greatly appreciate it. Now that I know how it works, I will push the idea for next year's race. We have an established race so I feel that we can expand it to include more runners. Hope you continue to have success with theracedeal.com. I know I won't hesitate to spread the word about how well it worked for me.
Jim S.
